The theater of Phillipi is located approximately at the 17 km outside the town of Kavala. Initially, it was constructed from Phillip B’ in 356 B.C. Later it was converted to an arena by the Romans in 3rd century A.C.

It was suffered by various alterations through the years. Nowadays, every year the festival of Fillipi hosts remarkable performances.

Imaret is located in the alleys of Panagia, it was constructed in 1817-1821 by the inventor from the last Egyptian dynasty of Mehmet Ali. The majestic building with area of 4.500 s.m. was established as a Muslim school

in purpose of the accommodation of a variety of sciences like Law, Religion, History, Mathematics, Poetry etc. Also, it was operating as workhouse and boarding house to people of the area who were in need, regardless of their religion. Since 2004 until now it is operating as a luxury hotel.

The Archaeological Place is consisted of interesting discoveries which came to light after the excavations. These are parts of the High way, the wreckage of Roman market, the prison of Saint Paul and old Christian churches.

Ammolofoi have a length of 3 km and are divided in three sections. The first and the third section are quieter and ideal for families while the second section is more cosmopolitan.

It is only 3 km away from N. Iraklitsa and 1 km from N.Peramos. The emerald-crystallized water combined with the thin sand of the beach would generate you the feeling that you are in an exotic place or even better in paradise. It has conquered deservedly the 5th place in the Internet and it is one of the ten most beautiful beaches of Greece in the ranking list. Also, there are many beach bars and restaurants where you can visit during the summer. The above reasons make the beach of Ammolofoi the most cosmical beach in the East side of Macedonia and Thrace.

One of the most important historical monuments of the Old Town of Kavala is Kamares. They were constructed, in the beginning of the 16th century by Turkish, with the purpose of the transportation of the water from the village of the << Old Kavala>> to the Town.

The fort dominates at the highest point of Panagia. It was constructed at the beginning of 15th century over the wreckage of the Byzantine Acropolis.

At the inside part of the castle there are all the necessary foundations in order to defend it. Nowadays it is operating as a cafeteria and theater in which you can enjoy the spectacular view of the town.
